toledo, oregon - 2002-2003

THE PROJECT
As part of an extensive urban renewal plan, to design an observation deck/park to be located in an empty lot
between two existing old buildings on Main Street of Toledo.
The upper deck would serve as a veterans memorial and a lower smaller and viewing deck/platform would provide views
of the port as well as stair access to the lower level and waterfront.
To provide storage areas under the deck for City use and also create additional off-street parking accessable from
the lower street.

THE SITE
A deep narrow site on Toledo's main street between two existing commercial buildings.
